SCAN~LINK Marker Tags

Passive RFID Protection for Fixed Assets & Infrastructure

SCAN~LINK Rigid Marker Tags extend passive RFID detection beyond personnel to fixed assets and infrastructure. Affixed to objects like pipes, bridge columns, wellheads, or vehicles, each tag lets the system automatically distinguish equipment and structures from people — alerting operators with a unique audio cue so object detection is never mistaken for a worker nearby.

Built for Harsh Industrial Environments

Marker Tags are available in Standard and Long Range configurations to accommodate a variety of detection distances and application requirements.

Distinguishes People and Objects

A unique audio cue alerts operators when a tagged object (not a person) is detected, avoiding confusion between the two.

Durable in Harsh Conditions

Withstands oil, salt mist, and high humidity, making it suited to demanding industrial environments.

Flexible Mounting

Can be affixed to virtually any fixed object such as pipes, bridges, columns, wellheads, or vehicles.

Two Detection Ranges

Available in standard (4m) and long range (10m) versions to match different asset protection needs.

Why Asset-Level Detection Matters

Knowing what has been detected is just as important as knowing that something has been detected. Marker Tags allow operators to distinguish critical infrastructure such as pipes, wellheads, transformers, or other fixed assets from workers, providing additional context while helping prevent unintended contact. Marker Tags give infrastructure the same reliable passive RFID visibility that Armour apparel provides for personnel.

Collisions with fixed assets can risk direct operational costs. A struck pipe, wellhead, garbage bin, or piece of infrastructure can mean costly repairs, unplanned downtime, and disrupted schedules, on top of any liability exposure. By helping operators recognize fixed assets before contact occurs, Marker Tags support both incident prevention and the operational continuity.

  • What kinds of objects can Marker Tags be attached to?

Marker Tags can be affixed to a wide range of fixed assets and infrastructure, including pipes, bridge columns, wellheads, and vehicles.

  • How are Marker Tags mounted?

Marker Tags come standard with strong 3M backing adhesive for straightforward installation. For a more permanent and secure mount, Marker Tags also include mounting holes on the sides that allow for screw mounting.

  • How does the system tell a Marker Tag apart from a worker's vest tag?

Marker Tags trigger a distinct audio cue different from personnel detection alerts from SCAN~LINK vests or hard hats, so operators can immediately tell whether they're near a tagged object or a tagged worker.
