Can I equip some workers with vests and others with hard hat tags?
Yes. Apparel and hard hat tags are both part of the same detection system, so you can equip different roles however best fits your site. However, for optimal detection range and coverage, SCAN~LINK recommends wearing both. Using both helps maximize detection performance across different orientations and operating conditions.
Do the vests come with passive RFID already embedded?
Yes. Each SCAN~LINK safety vest or lanyard/sash comes with passive RFID tags already embedded behind the 3M reflective tape. Additionally, no maintenance or charging is required for the tagged apparel as they do not require batteries.
Does SCAN~LINK sell hard hats?
LEARN MORENo. SCAN~LINK does not supply hard hats. Instead, we offer Hard Hat Kits that integrate passive RFID tags into existing hard hats.
Depending on the design, the kit can be installed inside the liner or mounted externally. This allows organizations to inforporate SCAN~LINK worker detection technology into the hard hats they already use.
